I’m a little late getting these up. Sorry. I’ve been a busy bee, lately. Lots to do between work on The Darkness, The Beauty, and prepping for con season.

Last month, I went to St. Louis to take part in the Top Cow- Artifacts: End of the World Celebration. Top Cow creators were heading to nearby shops all over the nation and signing books the week of the release of Artifacts #13 and Witchblade #151. I was invited up to two of the Fantasy Shop locations for the signing: Florissant and South County. It was a great time.

As part of the event, my friend, photographer Melodie Maynard  came along to help out and shoot the signings. I always bring my camera to these things, but hardly ever get the opportunity to actually do much shooting at conventions or store signings. Pictures before and after, sure. Thousands of shots of the city, absolutely. An Instagram post of everything I ate, guaranteed. Still, I’ve really wanted to capture more of signings for a while now. This trip was the perfect opportunity to do that.

I’m really happy with the way the shots turned out. I love the candid moments– the interaction with fans. I hope you enjoyed them too. They are going to lead in to a much larger project, soon. Something that I’m very excited about.

If you’d like to see more of Melodie’s amazing photography, check out her Facebook page HERE, her blog HERE, or her website HERE.

Alright, that’s it for me. Lots to do. Pages to draw. Cons to get ready for.

Be sure to check back for updates. MORE SOON!

Every year, Emerald City Comic Con produces a couple amazing convention exclusive prints, for the show. This year, my buddy, Convention Director- Jim Demonakos asked me if I would do one of the prints. Given the level of talent they get to do these things, I was a liiiiiittle intimidated. Needless to say, when I get intimidated, I go overboard. What you see above is the finished product for the ECCC ’12 Convention Exclusive Darkness print. It was a lot of hours of work, but some of the most fun I’ve had at the drawing board. The piece was BEAUTIFULLY colored by my Darkness series colorist, one of the most talented guys in the industry, John Rauch. I’m really happy with the way it turned out.

NOW on for some info on the print–

It is an 11×17 – Limited Edition of 300, signed by myself.  It will be available at the ECCC Show booth #514 for the low low price of $20.00.

If you’d like to know more about it follow the link below.

Alright, I’d better get some rest. Big weekend ahead. Check back in a couple of days.  I’m going to be posting all sorts of fun stuff like my official 2012 con schedule, some fun sneak peeks at Darkness pages, and even the black and white artwork from this very print.

As always, thanks so much for dropping by!
