![]() Welcome to jeremyhaun.com the place for all things Jeremy. Wednesday, March 30, 2011ECCC 2011 PHOTO BLOG!I love Emerald City Comic Con. It's been a few years since I'd been able to make it up for the show, so I couldn't wait to really kick "con season" off right. ECCC is an excellent show in a beautiful city. It's easily one of the highlights of what is turning out to be a great year for cons.
So here is my quick photo blog from the trip. I won't blather on too much. Hopefully a bit of the fun I had shows through. Enjoy! ![]() Leaving town. In line for a coffee for the drive to the airport in KC. ![]() Hotel view. ![]() On the con floor. This great toy booth with an AMAZING, giant Green Lantern power battery on top of their booth. ![]() Lines forming at the convention center. ![]() Another hotel view. ![]() Walking to breakfast with the Top Cow crew. ![]() An absolutely delicious breakfast at this little French place near the market. ![]() The convention center. ![]() Excellent design. ![]() Quite a crowd for day one of the show! ![]() The Top Cow booth. I've worked on two of the books featured on those banners. ![]() Every year ECCC does a gorgeous book called Monsters and Dames, featuring work from some of the best talents in comics. The proceeds go to the Seattle Children's Hospital. This is a shot of my contribution. ![]() Table shot. ![]() Me at the booth. Looking like I do... ![]() Raven pre-order watercolor commission. ![]() Jason Todd pre order watercolor commission. ![]() Simon and Pat. ![]() Goofass. ![]() Shane White. Talented goofass. ![]() Pat and Simon. Also goofasses. ![]() Desire commission. Done in pens and Copic markers. ![]() Lemon Drop martini at the Metropolitan Grill. Such an amazing meal. Easily one of the best steaks I've ever had. ![]() At the Metropolitan Grill with the Top Cow crew. The Joker, done in pens and Copic markers. ![]() Wonder Woman pre order watercolor painting. ![]() Beat to hell Joker. Done in pens and Copic markers. People tend to see a piece I'm working on and want the same thing. Doing silly stuff like having characters beat on a bit keeps things interesting. ![]() Warlock. Done in brush pen and Copic markers. This was my last commission of the show. Done in about 15 minutes, moments before ECCC '11 came to a close. ![]() Beautiful view from the walkway. ![]() Packed up and ready to go. ![]() Another great view at the amazing architecture of the convention center. I love those lines. ![]() Nelson Blake II and Ron Marz chat after the con. ![]() One of the best guys in comics. Top Cow publisher and my pal Filip Sablik. Look at that grin. ![]() Nighttime hotel view. ![]() In line at the airport in Seattle. ![]() Wing. ![]() In the shuttle on the way from the airport to my car. By this point I'm just ready to be home. I had such a great time in Seattle. If you haven't had the chance to make it to the show, do yourself and find a way to get to ECCC. You won't be sorry. Okay, that's it for this one. I've got a lot more stuff to put up over the next few weeks. I'm definitely a little behind thanks of all of the traveling. I'll get caught up soon, though! I promise. As always, thanks for stopping by!
